Lands End Shooting Club

Home. About. Membership. Information. Contact.

Members must be 12 or over (under 18’s must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian). All potential members must contact the Club Secretary (email preferred), giving their full name and address. An application form will be sent, to be filled in and returned to the Secretary. There will then be a period of two to three weeks for the club to complete the compulsory checks. We will then contact the prospective member and arrange a first visit to the range where the forms of ID will be checked. When the form is countersigned by a Committee member the probationary membership begins. Probationary membership is SIX MONTHS from commencement. During this period they are expected to attend the range at least 10 times, if they do not, without providing the club with good reason, their probationary period may be extended or suspended. If they fail to make any attendances for two months, again without supplying good reason, then their membership WILL BE TERMINATED, it may also be terminated at anytime without recourse to appeal. Probationary members do not need to supply any photographs or pay subscriptions, on each visit the appropriate fees will be paid.  After satisfactory completion of probation a Full membership form will be issued which the committee consider. Once accepted photographs should be provided and a subscription paid (pro rata when joining during the current year). Procedure may differ when the prospective member is already an FAC holder.

The club has a selection of firearms for probationary members to use together with ammunition to purchase on the range for use that day.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE DO NOT TURN UP UN-ANNOUNCED AS YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ONTO THE RANGE PREMISES.
